Samya began powerlifting in 2024 and within 9 months had already won her first 3 gold medals. Her mountain-trained mental strength translated instantly to the platform.
Added weightlifting in January 2025 while maintaining her powerlifting training. Already a 2× Bronze medalist at Under-17 Sub-Junior State Level — competing at the highest level in both disciplines.
Samya steps onto a powerlifting platform for the first time. No expectations — just mountain discipline and fire. Within the first 9 months, she wins her first 3 gold medals at Sub-Junior National level.
Six Sub-Junior Powerlifting gold titles and two Champion of Champions trophies — the highest honour in her competition circuit. The sport world takes notice of Gujarat's powerlifting prodigy.
Never one to stop at just one discipline, Samya adds Olympic weightlifting to her training. The snatch and clean & jerk demand a completely different skill set — and she rises to meet it.
Already competing at Under-17 Sub-Junior State Level in weightlifting — earning 2 bronze medals. A teenager holding her own against older, more experienced athletes. The gold is the next target.
At the WRPF Gujarat State Iron Powerlifting Championship in Surat (28 June 2026), Samya sweeps 6 Gold medals and is crowned Champion of Champions in the Junior category — her biggest single-event haul yet.
At the WPI District Powerlifting Championship (12 July 2026), Sub-Junior athlete Samya competes up in the Junior category and wins 3 Gold medals plus 2 Champion of Champions titles, with 4 new personal records: 80kg squat, 55kg bench, 115kg deadlift, 250kg total.
